I have been a private practitioner since 2005. My approach to psychotherapy is tailored to both presenting problems and clients’ interest in exploring questions. Sometimes, short-term and goal-directed psychotherapy is the best path, while at other times, a longer self-exploration is helpful for self-seeing. I will meet you at your starting point and try to help you gain clarity and understanding into your questions, with the goal of helping you overcome the obstacles that keep you stuck in a situation or mindset.
I enjoy working with adults and adolescents. Sometimes, I employ cognitive-behavioral techniques, such as exposure with response prevention; and in other instances, insight-oriented psychotherapy is more appropriate. The therapeutic process is always collaborative in nature — and together, we will determine the best path toward meeting your goals.
While I do not currently participate with any insurance companies, I would be glad to help you bill for out-of-network reimbursement.
